This month 10 more stalls have joined the Melbourne Farmers Market Community across Coburg, Carlton & Alphington Farmers Market. We have thoroughly enjoyed introducing new flavours and new faces into the markets.
1. Alara Bites
Alara Bites are serving up both sweet and savoury delights. The Turkish street food star of the show is their borek, which they have three varieties: Turkish fermented sausage & mozzarella, cheese & parsley, and a vegan potato & onion option. On the sweet side, you’ve got to try their chocolate baklava!
2. Cumpa
Before we even start talking about their food, we need to warn you - Cumpa's set up is so cute it's actually a crime (see pictures for reference). Ok now the food... their arancini is a clear favorite, but the freshly piped cannoli is giving it some tough competition, not to mention their generous, decadent tiramisu.
3. Heirloom Naturally
Heirloom Naturally specialise in growing heirloom varieties without chemicals. They undertake everything by hand at their garden in Mansfield Victoria - from soil and bed preparation, through to seeding, harvesting, washing and packing. As a no till market garden, no machinery is used in order to maintain living soil, which in turn gives our produce its nutrient density and magnificent flavour.
4. Cakehouse Collective
Cakehouse Collective, how do we explain! Suzie is the mastermind behind the sweeties and she does what she does, very well. Her pies, stunning, her biscuits delicious, her slices also great, her video vlogs - excellent!
5. Botanikos
Botanikos are ready to help you make the perfect cocktail at home. Their handcrafted, botanically flavoured cocktail syrups are made with all-natural ingredients and are so simple to use. The first syrup was inspired by a surplus of rosemary offcuts and since then, they’ve mastered the balance of botanical flavors, sweetness, and acidity to create a cocktail syrup you’ll love.
6. Babche Wines
Tim from Babche Wines has just dropped the new spring release. If you haven't got a chance to try their all-natural wines, we recommend keeping an eye out for their next market!
7. Frankly Raw
A big welcome to Frankly Raw! Fran and Jim have spent 10 years perfecting their recipe, creating a delicious, smunchy raw peanut butter with just 2 ingredients. It’s perfect on a Pink Lady apple or even on a toasty—and the best part? They offer big 1.2kg tubs!
8. Chin Chin / Red Poppy
Chin Chin Farm & Red Poppy Estate are teaming up at their stall to bring you bushfood-infused honey, relishes, and jellies, plus phenomenal pet nats, all from the Macedon Ranges!
9. Amaimono
Amaimonoau are a new business and have made their debut, bringing a mouth-watering range of Japanese/French fusion biscuits and cakes, here are some pictures of the production line. Their Japanese baked cheesecake is delectable and they are increasing their product range every market.
10. The Omelette Guys
The Omelette Guys had their first Carlton Farmers Market recently, they served up fresh, protein-packed omelettes made with Willow Zen pasture-raised eggs, and they brought all the add-ons you can dream of!
