Supporting circular economy initiatives across our markets is one of our core pillars.
Most of our stallholders will take back or refill clean jars, bottles, and containers. Make sure to check the stallholder list before your market visit to return the correct items to the right person.
At our Alphington site, we don't even have a general waste bin! There is a circular waste stream for anything you buy at the market. You can also visit @projectpairup to drop off unused or mismatching tupperware. Or you can take home some matched tupperware!
All of our markets accept rubber bands which we give back to the farmers.
Lastly, bringing a keep cup or a Tupperware for your pastry can go a long way!
